About the job:

As DPA, you have overall responsibility for coordinating, administering, and developing MarCon Group's marine units. The role includes both strategic and operational tasks as well as close collaboration with authorities, classification societies, and insurance companies. As DPA, you will be an important person who supports, guides, and coordinates processes together with the companies.

Strategic Responsibilities

• be responsible for group-wide mapping, pricing, and investments in boats, barges, and marine units
• represent MarCon Group in relevant working groups and collaborations
• plan and coordinate hull and bottom inspections, yard visits, and other inspections
• administer and continuously improve MarCon's maritime safety work and Code of Practice

Operational and Administrative Responsibilities

• be responsible for systems such as EKAN, Marad, and Bureau Veritas as well as registrations and reports to the Transport Agency
• be the main administrator for the Marad system and SITS (Maritime Administrative System)
• support the companies in insurance matters, deviation reports, and accident reports
• be responsible for insurance coverage, damage reporting, and contact with insurance companies
• act as the contact person for Gibraltar Maritime Authorities and other certification matters

You who are applying need to have:

• experience in maritime administration and/or work in maritime safety
• good knowledge of the Transport Agency, Maritime Registry, and maritime-related authorities
• experience in project management and budget responsibility
• good communication skills and experience collaborating with external actors such as classification societies and insurance companies

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience with the systems Marad, SITS, and EKAN
